THS Recognition School

Tuckahoe High School has earned the distinction of Recognition School from the New York State Department of Education. In a letter from Assistant Commissioner Ira Schwartz, the district learned of the designation which places Tuckahoe High School among the 562 top performing schools in New York State under the Every Student Succeeds Act. These schools were identified with high academic achievement, growth and graduation rate and made progress during the 2017-18 school year. Of the 562 schools recognized, 234 are high schools.

“This distinction validates and reinforces the outstanding work our faculty and staff do every day for our students. This is a significant accomplishment and one we should all be proud of,” stated Superintendent of Schools Carl Albano.
