Tuckahoe HS New Digital Art & Design Course

Students in the Tuckahoe High School Digital Art and Design class are creating typography portraits using the manipulation of type focusing on font, size and placement to create values in their artwork.

The digital art and design elective is a new course offering this school year, the curriculum for which was designed through a Learning Technology Grant in partnership with Putnam Northern Westchester BOCESThis three year NYSED grant is designed to build the capacity of school districts to develop and deliver high quality, authentic blended learning experiences for students.

Taught by Ms. Cacace, the course is a one semester blended learning elective focused on the artistic world through graphic design in preparation for post-secondary studies, employable skills, and/or careers in the visual arts. Students will apply their enhanced skills, techniques, and ideas using software applications such as Adobe Illustrator while blending a traditional face-to-face classroom setting with online learning.
